On the 5th of October a rather special evening took place at the Beach Ballroom, Aberdeen. The Aberdeen Musical Theatre Orchestra took to the stage for their second concert, playing the music of James Bond.
An orchestra of 38 local musicians gave of their time to raise money for two local charities: Music 4 U and The Lord Provost Charitable Trust. The orchestra performed exquisitely after only minimal rehearsal and fabulously recreated the sound of the Bond movies.

The atmosphere in the Ballroom was electric with the venue proving to be the perfect place to perform classic songs such as "Goldfinger" and "From Russia With Love", along side the more modern themes of "Skyfall" and "No Time To Die".
Seven guest vocalists joined the orchestra to follow in the footsteps of Shirley Bassey, Matt Monro and Adele, all of whom proved more than capable of matching the original performers abilities.

Look out for an announcement of the total monies raised for the charities in the near future...
